Make a mark was shot at a residency at Broken Hill Art Exchange, NSW, in April 2023. It depicts the artist's daughter dressed in her grandfather's suits who died in 2009. The suits are dyed Yves Klein blue, further pointing to our finitude and the ultimate leap into the void. The bodies are arranged with deliberate intent, referencing the lost bodies of the two men who instigated the Battle of Broken Hill in 1915. A tragedy that became instrumental in the political agenda of that time, encouraging young men to enlist for WW1.
