Paula Mahoney

My mother's legacy explores the loss of my mother, who died in 1983 and stays faceless in my memory. I use my mother's clothes and objects as artefacts imposed on her descendants - my daughter, my sister, and I. Performing both a lament and a metaphysical search for my mother's face. The works are titled with the life-affirming phrases that my mother passed to her daughters.
